The ALTAIR® 4X is a reliable multigas detector that measures O2, H2S, CO and combustible gas.
The robust housing guarantees extreme durability and is resistant to a drop test on concrete of 6 m height. With the large, glove-friendly buttons and a high contrast display, the ALTAIR 4X multigas detector is easy to operate in any work environment, even in low light conditions. An extensive package of accessories is available.
The true power of the ALTAIR 4X multigas detector is in the new sensor technology. MSA XCell sensors are designed for a minimum lifetime of more than four years, twice the industry average and are designed based on the application-specific IC design (ASIC) of MSA. The control electronics of the sensors are miniaturized and placed in the sensor itself.
The XCell sensors: Superior stability, repeatability accuracy and a fast response time characterize the new MSA XCell sensors. They have a remarkably long life and are designed for an average life span of more than four years. The end of sensor life indicator gives a timely warning to the user, making service intervals less necessary. Microelectronics in the sensors provide a faster response and calibration time.
